I couldn't count how many times I have started and deleted this blog in its many forms, but Covid seems to have been draining me into boredom and lack of creativity.
After many years of making monthly vlogs and the odd holiday vlog here and there I've decided to commit to being a travel based YouTube. So I thought what better to accompany a travel vlog channel, than have a travel blog. So here we are! Welcome!
Before 2020, I hadn't really ever travelled anywhere other than your 'basic' tourist destinations, Spain, Tenerife & Florida (for Disney World) and though these places are all incredible I hadn't really experienced new cultures and languages, foods and landscapes.
UNTIL!
In 2019, my nan invited me to join her on a cruise- The Grand African & Indian Ocean Voyage. A 3 month cruise sailing from Bristol UK, down to Portugal, right down and round the west, south and east coasts of Africa, across to the Seychelles, up to Sri Lanka and India, and then back down through the Suez Canal visiting, Egypt, Petra and Oman along the way. How could I say no?! I don't think I've ever made a decision as quick as saying 'yes' in my life. In total there was around 31 stops (obviously sneaky sneaky covid botched a few plans along the way but we did manage to get the majority)
So...where did I go? (In Order)

Quite a lot of places, and I didn't even write the ones we missed! We spent many days at sea also- especially coming back home once the boarders had closed. We spent 14 whole days at sea. But the point of this blog is to tell you all about my travels, where I went, what I did and so on. Hopefully after that I'll be able to announce new trips and make posts on travel tips and general stuff like that.
If you've read this far, thank you! Introductions are always a tricky but I hope you're excited for what's to come. If you haven't already I'd really love if you checked out my YouTube page (KayaPapaya) and give me a subscribe to you don't miss any new videos or updates!
